Darin 6/1/08Since our move in Dec Darin has been up and down (healthwise). We knew that moving would not be a "magic bullet" but we have noticed some differences. Darin is trying out several of the "treatments" that he did in the old house and has seen some different responses. He still has a LOT of bad days. In some ways, being here allows him to recover faster. When he has work he works HUGE hours (sometimes 24 hour days) so he can meet deadlines as well as work hard and fast while he feels good. We never know when he's going to be "out of commission". His latest test is to avoid dairy. Seems to have some positive affect. We're still in the testing phase though (as everything always has been).
9/25/07Darin has had quite a lot of work lately. We have been greatly blessed. The amount of clients that call him back for regular jobs here and there have increased greatly over the past couple of years. He finally has enough clients keeping him busy that he can demand more from some of his longer term clients. Darin has been a very patient man with some of them.
Darin has been working more with After Effects and 2D animation. He really enjoys extending worlds that did not exhist. Check out his demo reel that he has finally posted on his website. www.designpoet.com
Alleta 6/1/08I have my own online blog site. If you want more up to date info on what's up with me then please visit my site. Also.... PLEASE leave a message if you visit. I feel I'm talking to no one since either hardly no one visits or not very many people leave posts.
One of the MOST IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER!!!! DO NOT USE MY REAL NAME OR ANY PERSONAL IDENTIFYING NAMES, PLACES ETC... ON THAT SITE. I have given out the link to online friends and I do not want them to know who I am and where I live. Thanks!
9/25/07I'm trying to keep the world going round. I am definately the taxi driver that everyone jokes that moms are. Maya and Talon go to school a little after 8am and Gage goes for afternoon kindergarden at another school across town (our city is small so it's not that long of a drive). Fridays everything changes for Gage. Gage is out at 3:20 and the twins' after school program gets done at 4:45pm. If I'm blessed to have Darin working at home I can zip in and out of the house without having to haul Kiera along. If Darin has a lot of work outside the house I get quite a workout. It's all good though. I do enjoy these kids very much.
We are in limbo on our housing situation. Darin's parents have been kind enough to purchase a home for us to move into while we deal with our old one. For those of you who are not aware of our current situation let me sum up. Our current home (the one we have been living in for 11 years) has been making all of us quite sick. Turns out part of the culprit is toxic black mold (we had it tested to find out what it was). We don't know if that's it or if there is more adding to our health problems. Every year when we turn on our furnace Darin's health deterioriates to the point he is lucky to work part time. Maya typically ends up in the hospital several times with lung infections. The home we were hoping to be in by now has been found to have toxic levels of drugs (meth etc...). We are in a waiting game for the company to get out here and get it all cleaned up. After they are done cleaning we have to get in there and finish. Having a new furnace installed, painting, laying carpet, fixing the odds and ends that needed attention before we discovered the drugs. It would be awesome if we could get in there before Halloween... looking more like we'll be there just before Thanksgiving.
